Definition

RSST is:

• An electronic mailing discusion list involving occupational (and environmental) health issues in the Americas, with particular focus on Latin America and the Caribbean. RSST is sponsored by the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO/WHO) and the International Labour Organization (ILO), managed by the Pan American Center for Sanitary Engineering and Environmental Sciences (CEPIS/PAHO), the Institute of Health, Work and Environment (STYMA/Peru).
  
  
• A regional and international forum in Spanish which aims at exchanging information, knowledge and experiences related to any aspect of occupational health. This forum is open to all interested participants, regardless of their academic and professional backgrounds or their country of origin and practice. The topics of discussion are broad and include, for example: environmental determinants of workers' health; legislative, clinical and other medical issues in occupational health; training opportunities, conference annoucements, and the like.

There are three easy ways to subscribe to the RSST list:

1. By e-mail; send a message to the list managers.
2. By e-mail; send a technical command to the automated list software.
3. By world-wide-web ; complete the subscription form .

Technical Commands

Like all electronic mailing lists, RSS has a software -Mailman 2.0.1.®- which carries out automatically common operations such as subscription/unsubscritpion to the list, the search of the list archives, and provides additional help to all members or prospective members in order to ensure that everybody fully enjoys the advantages of the RSST list. When you send a command to the list software, write to this address only(LISTSERV@cepis.org.pe), and remember to always leave the subject of the message blank and to remove your signature at the bottom of your message.

Basic Commands:

To suscribe to the list RSST, send a message to listserv LISTSERV@cepis.org.pe and write in the body of the message SUBSCRIBE RST-LAC with your first and last names.

Example:

From:(Your e-mail address) To:LISTSERV@cepis.org.pe Subject : ------------------------------------------ SUBSCRIBE RST-LAC First Name Last Name

To end your subscription to the list RSST , send a message to listserv LISTSERV@cepis.org.pe and write in the body of the message the words SIGNOFF RST-LAC with your first and last names.
