About the BVSDE of Water

The BVSDE - Water, developed by the Pan American Health Organization through the Area of Sustainable Development and Environmental Health is a useful tool that compiles, stores and organizes documentation, references, databases of information on sustainable development and in addition provides a rapid and efficient access to national, regional and international sources.

This portal is a center of resources of information, tools, and exchange of knowledge in the area of the water for the countries of Latin America and the Caribbean.

The main themes are: Quality of the Water, Analytical Quality, Water Resources, Inter-American Water Day, and Evaluation 2000: sectoral information. The related subjects are: Appropriate Technology, Disaster Mitigation, and Indigenous Peoples.

It has been created in order to respond to the information needs on insurance of the quality and analytical services and give informative support to health professionals, researchers, educators, decisionmakers and other involved with this topic.
