The BVSDE-Sanitation, developed by the Pan American
Health Organization through the Area of Sustainable
Development and Environmental Health is a useful tool
that compiles, stores and organizes documentation, references,
databases of information on the management of domestic
wastewater in Latin America and the Caribe. and in addition
provides a rapid and efficient access to national, regional
and international sources.
There has been created in order
to respond to the information needs on the aspects of
sanitation under the framework of a sustainable development
and to give informative support to health professionals,
researchers, decision-makers and others involved with
this topic.
Furthermore covers subjects related
to Appropriate Technology, Disaster Mitigation, and
indigenous Peoples.
